Today, I ran into this article, critical of feminism. What do you think?"I want to inform modern American feminists of this new reality: most American men do not want you. They do not want to date you and they certainly do not want to marry you. Do you know why? Because any relationships with you pose too much legal and financial risks to American men. The enormous risks of divorce and financial insolvency that men face when they marry you is no longer justified by paltry (often minimum) rewards that you bring to a marriage. Thus, you are being scorned and ignored by a growing number of affluent American men who prefer more feminine and traditional foreign women who offer youth, beauty and loyalty, the qualities you lack. These men realize that by marrying foreign women, they incur lower risk of divorce and greater probability of successful marriage and happiness. Therefore,... many of you will never marry or have children... you will end up like one of your own, Maria Cantwell - old, un-married, completely childless, living with mommy... You need to understand that by depriving and denying your biological instinct to create, love and nurture a family, modern feminism has created a royal road to oblivion that ends with your emptiness, bitterness and despair. Whatever traits or value you carried in your genes will stop with you. No children, no legacy... When you die, you truely die.

A growing number of men now make no apologies for rejecting any modern feminist women. The enormous risks incurred in marrying an American feminist are simply not justified by minimal or no rewards that these relationships bring. An American gentleman now has to walk through a minefield of risks including false abuse claims, financial bankrupcy (from divorce), and denial of child visitation rights. Thus, any intelligent and self-respecting man would reject this modern feminist paradigm of marriage."

Well I actually do not agree with this article at all. I had to post it to see if I was the only one who found it offensive in many ways. Now I know I am not.

My first wife was a foreigner and it turned out to be a disaster. My 2nd wife is an American and I love her to tears. There is no fear in love.

I see the authors points. It has a validity in some points I see where the author was going. I however find it troubling the words

foreign women who offer YOUTH, beauty and loyalty,

sound like whoever wrote it has some real objective that needs to be addressed. Marriage is about love you can not be 100% sure it will work. But who goes into a marriage realistically considering it will end in divorce. I mean if you do than I guess, well I guess you have no value of what marriage is.

Thanks for posting this. But mainly I agree with the women on this.

Do you agree with this? Then I counsel that you marry a "foreign" woman and live happily ever after. The less of you out there, the better.
Of course I don't agree, and anyone with half a brain would agree with me in my complete condemnation of this article. The author has every right to publish this...but that doesn't mean it can't be shown to be the trash it is.
My main comment about this utterly useless piece of cr*p is that 1) the author obviously can't get a woman interested in him unless she's an idiot and acts like a robot (yesssir, yes massa; anything to prop up his imagined manhood), 2) doesn't have a clue what women are about, and dislikes them in the extreme, 3) is incapable of loving anyone, including himself, and 4) is a bigot to boot. (Maybe he's gay. No, gay people are a lot smarter than this.)
BTW: If you read the facts, the financial burden for women in a divorce is a lot higher than for men. And there are reams of evidence that show the main reason women keep men away from their children is that they're afraid of abuse of both the children and themselves.
If the facts were true, the article would carry more weight. As it is, it reads like a diatribe against women and their ability to think for themselves.
Too bad for the author--we're not going back now.

I completly disagree.

1- A true feminist wouldnt marry.

2-By "tradional foreign women" is the authour implying subservient, demoralized women beaten into submission and raised only to breed and serve. My understanding is the US is a strong Christian dominated country (male dominant), one of tradition and promoting strong familiy values.

3- ... "youth, beauty and loyalty, the qualities you lack." is an insteresting line. An American man most likely has an American mother and maybe an American sister. I guess that is one guy that has a hard time looking at his genetic makeup in the morning.

4- You should marry for love. Period.

5- I could go on and on but just want to say that article is disturbing. Procreation has become a matter of economics and legalese. What about sharing you life with someone you share common interests with? Love?

Bitter, bitter, bitter.
Whoever wrote this wishing for a harem with no speak a the english, me thinks and got his heart (and bank account) badly broken by his baby momma.

And what TKLines said is true- Women have it way harder financially after a marriage fails.

(Not American, not a feminist and definetly a Mother!)

I think the piece raises some very valid points. It's over-the-top approach makes it unlikely that a "feminist" will read it to the end, let alone consider the value of any of the points. So If the author's intent was to persuade feminists to "change their ways" I'm guessing he failed. He could better get their attention and achieve similar results by "poking them with a sharp stick." So I guess it's just a diatribe and he is feeling smart about getting it published somewhere. I'm speculating the author is foreign born for some reason.

Sounds good to me. Although, if I am going to marry someone, I am not going to worry about risk. Risk of losing your things??? That's bogus. The problem with the world today is that marriage isnt taken seriously at all.

I could barely get through that muck of an article. There is no way that ridiculous, pointless and unintelligent rant could have possibly been published.
