Saddly, exactly what Arc said. You have to have an EXTREAM understanding of how viruses and computers work to be able to defend against them. (Like Bill Gates good) SO odds are you won't be able to even start to design it yourself. But, if you were to posses such knowledge, it would start with a script-based app, probably run from Dos or soemthing.

So, just buy Norton anti-virus, it's cheaper, easier, and possible.
