Throughout the history of the United States there has always been a Caucasian President. We have seen African-American candidates, but none have ever been elected. Now we are seeing women trying to take on the role. Which one do you think this country will see first, a women President, or an African-American President??? What is your opinion and why??

An African-American male president.

Throughout history, males side and relate with males. No matter what, they are men first. A lot of men, in their glory of manhood, have no desire to empower women... women that take care of their children at home, cook their meals, do their laundry... and the ones in the workforce that accept the same job for less pay.

I think you'll see an African-American president first, although I dont believe it will be Obama sorry but alot of people still have feelings after 911 he just has too much going against him to win. Only for the simple fact is Hillary running in 2008 will ruin it for women for at least a decade.

Woman, but not Hillary. The first woman/AA candidate will have to be very moderate and HC is still too liberal. There is a larger pool of moderate women available (Nancy Pelosi need not apply). The public does not like change. If a woman/AA candidate gets on the ballot it will have to be one it foresees as not rocking the boat. Hillary can rock the boat without boarding.

Obama is now being attacked for not being black enough, apparently his father was from East Africa and no one in his family tree has been a slave. And those are African Americans saying this.

Whoever the Deomocratic Party puts on the ballot will probably win. The nation is pretty upset with our President and the GOP is the only thing left to blame (remember the midterms). The only way they can lose is if they get someone too liberal. The GOP hasn't got much to bargain with since thay have already sold their soul.

I actually think an African American president because of the fact that although racism is not dead, neither is the thought that a woman should not be in a leadership position. Also, I have a feeling Barack Obama would beat Hilary, even though I am a Republican. He might be the next president.

Kucinich might be the next President preventing a woman and a Black to become President.

Woman president. It will happen in 2008 because God wants it that way.
