Hi there, What would be your motivation to start up a chat line for gay people and transgendered? Do you have a specific interest in helping them? Do you have a complete understanding of what it is like to be gay or transgendered?
It would be up to you if you want to start a chat line, but would you be experienced enough to give advice?

Go for it! I like what Yahoo Answers has to offer with the points and the questions and answers. It's kind of like playing Jeapardy. You have just won, 10 points! Ha ha! But it doesn't allow us to interact enough. There are too may nuts on here reporting people for saying things like, "If you want to know more, email me sometime." What a bunch of dimwits! Maybe you could offe rsomething the others don't. Good luck! ;)

If you're serious about starting a chat line you need to be very clear about what you're doing why you're doing it and the consequences of doing it. Sounds like I'm being a killjoy but I have worked on numerous helplines and the one factor that runs through all of them is feeling qualified to help someone. It is nice to listen, it is nice ro share, but do you really want to take responability for someone elses life?

If you wish to do it, then it is not only your right, but may be welcomed.

Don't let the bashers stop you.
