There has been no official release date set, but on a picture from Bungie it says Fall 2007. Historically this would point to November because Halo was released November 15 and Halo 2 was released November 9. Another popular xbox game, gears of war, was released on November 21. Based purely on history I would say that Halo 3 will be out on Tuesday November 13.

So far Bungie Studios, the developer of the Halo series, has not released an official release date. Although recently they started an ad campaign for Halo 3 and underneath the graphics it says "Fall 2007." So far the first two Halo games were released in early November. With the date assigned to the season of Fall I would probably expect the same. For more information you can visit:

^^ Just because Best Buy says November 15th doesn't mean it's always right. A lot of stores always throw out an ETA to make consumers more willing to place pre-orders so they can make money off the pre-order fee. If you look around you will see that Gamestop says November 1st, CircuitCity says November 2nd and so on. Not sure which one is right if any. Bungie has not announced the official release date yet. So to answer the question, with stores guessing around November then it will probably be in November has retail stores usually gets a heads-up on the release month.

November. In the meantime, why don't you get Crackdown so you can get participate in the Halo 3 beta this spring.

according to play . com it is out on 27/04/2007, and it will cost 39.99, on the site you get a trailer and a discription of the game, and also a movie is expected to come out in november time 2008

one word, nobody knows, not even the two other people who answeres. It may be released in fall, but many games get held back over and over again, could end up being next year.
