Your question was a blast from my past. Nash Motors was created in 1916 and in a way, continues today in Chrysler Group, a part of DaimlerChrysler. In 1954 Nash and Hudson (which had acquired Packard) merged to form American Motors Corporation. The Nash name continued through the 1957 model year after which all AMC cars were called Ramblers until the mid 60s. AMC was absorbed by Chrysler Corporation in 1988, which in turn "merged" with Daimler Benz in 1998.

My father owned two early '50s Nashes. At that time Nash was famous for its distinctive bath-tub styling with a really big, toothy grille. I assume this style is what you are referring to. Besides its bath-tub aerodynamic body, Nash was known for its unusually effective ventilation system and its front seats that folded completely down, basically forming a spacious bed. When I was a young boy, my father and I would sleep in the Nash while on fishing trips. The fold down seats also had a reputation (as the story goes) with teenagers as an ideal impromptu location for romance. Many Nash/AMC car clubs exist if you want to get more information - see their web sites.
