I am in a sorority, and I know a lot of Frat guys. You should definitely rush, you'll get to know more people and more about the Greek System and you don't have to join. Then you will be able to better evaluate if you want to pledge or not.
There are a lot of positives about going Greek. You get to know a lot of people and have a healthy social life. You also make connections with alumni and that is great for getting a job! The leadership opportunities are great too!

if your thinking about it you can always visit some people want to show possible recruits around you can just check it out and see how you feel about them. I'm assuming your in High school still, but when you go on campus visits you should be able to ask about their Greek life on campus and make a choice based on that.
