IT jobs vary too greatly, not just state-to-state, but position and whether salary paid temp or salaried employee also make a big difference.

A network manager might get more than a systems adminstrator. A Database Manager usually gets alot more. In Florida, I have seen salaried temps get $45K a year and their permanent employees get close to double that. I have also seen contract DB employees get close to $200K a year.

Each state is different and each job is different, so you would need to try to specify job functions individually.

Go to http://www.bls.gov and you will see a link there for "Wages by area and occupation." This is the Bureau of Labor Statistics web site. They do all kinds of surveys of data having to do with jobs, work, cost of living , pay, unemployment, etc., etc, Good luck.
