I've had these dreams of floods, the sea, the river, all sorts of body of water... and I always end up being in it... either drowning in the water or flowing with it... I've heard most people say that it's bad luck everytime you dream of water... can anyone tell me what it really means?

Water is a deeply spiritual symbol representing the "water of life" or the "flow of life." Large bodies of water usually represent our unconscious minds or/and soul experiences. Water symbolizes emotions (rough, smooth, clear, murky, etc.). Freud thought that since fluids are involved in sexual activities, at times, water in dreams has sexual connotations.

1 could be you feel you are drowning in everyday issues/life problems.
2 a past life memory where you drowned.

Water is not bad luck, water cleanses and purifies. Instead of drowning, flow and let it wash away your worries and concerns. Let the waters wash away the toxins in your body, turn the dream into a cleansing ritual. Make the water a stream of positive healing energy
People can control their dreams and the outcomes.

water, being fluid, has an emotional quality to it, and often represents emotions.

Drowning in water would be symbolic of being overtaken by emotions.
Flowing with the water would be like embracing and moving with your emotional influences.
Some people dream of murky water because they have a hard time understanding their emotions.
...and frozen water (ice) can mean that the emotions are being stifled or unyeilding.

BUT, it is best when the person that has the dream does the interpretation because water may have a special meaning to you that would bypass it's emotional quality, and only you would know that.

Live well

Listen kid...don't believe in any of these superstitions, seriously. It's not bad luck, it's not good luck.....it was just a dream. Try not to pay too much attention to dreams, and pay more attention to things while you're awake. You'll only make yourself crazy. Listen to me kid, let it go.

I've always heard that dreaming of water (and your reaction to it) represents your feelings toward sex. Strange, but it's usually true.

It means that you need more symbiotic fluid in your adrenal gland. Try soaking in a salt water solution.
