All the answers you get are going to be posted 90% of the time in the first hour. After that, is kind of lucicrous.

If you don't choose an answer yahoo answerer's will do it for you assuming there were votes. That way it becomes fair and you didn't pick an answer just because it was popular at the moment when you were in a perplexed mood.

I hate it when you post something, then some nut case answers it, but you really don't want to keep posting it again, because nobody seems to want to help you. lol
erh, I leave mine up until the very last moment, in high hopes of getting a good answer.
;) no such luck for a long time though!
and by last moment, I mean when Yahoo sends the little email that tells you you better choose an answer, or you don't get to..
I haven't posted a question in a while, so I forgot how they word it.

Well you have not show to wait four hours to pick an hour. But I usually pick one within the same day because I do get some answers later on.

I wait the required few hours and then choose one. Sometimes I like to leave them longer, but not usually.

If its a recipe or if i'm getting stupid answers I leave it until I find the best answer. But I haven't been on here long.

thats why i let other people vote. i take everything into consideration that is said to me in an answer, so declaring just one of them the favorite when more than one of them may have offered equally good advice isnt fair
