my sister and i are wanting to get into some singing contests anybody know of any in texas? i am 20 and she is 22 if that helps any...thanks ahead of time...Kristi

Start looking now....For the Colgate Country Showdowns that are close to you....They run for the most part later in the year ...But dont do what I did and wait then miss the contest in your town and have to travel mile to make another....
Also try Johnnie High Music Review if you are good enough you sing on their opry show...REAL FUN....

Why do you need to compete? One time Pearl Bailey showed up at the Apollo theatre in Harlem and she got too nervous to sing. The "winner" that day was Ella Fitzgerald. Of course BOTH of them became major singing talents.
Moral of the story.....start a band and just get out there and sing and have fun. If you guys are good, youll turn heads.
