First you need to define what you mean by 'gifted' - there's a difference between intelligent and being able to determine what the test is testing for. Do you want to determine what they know or what they're able to figure out? Do you want to see how they reason or how they decipher questions? Do you want to know this to get them into a program at school or to get them out of one? You need to know these things before testing the kids. Remember - never teach students smarter than yourself, that will only jade them to the learning process.
