Sea Food is always good. Due to fish being low in fat and calories I have been on a sea food protein diet. However, it's how you prepare foods that are the sin. Breading it and frying it. Bake or broil. I however, microwave my fish in a sealed container to keep in the moister and season when done to taste. It's good eats.

Since I am fat and never eat seafood then I guess I would have to say that seafood is fit. Just wish it did not taste like fish.

Seafood (fish in particular) is VERY healthy, certain seafoods can provide you with calcium etc and fish such as Salmon (sardines, herring, tuna, mackerel and anchovies) is an excellant source of Omega 3 [which promotes a healthy immune system, growth, good cardiovascular health, can help prevent low weight birth, can help in therapy for autism etc]
However, as others have said, it all depends on how you cook it..Surely breaded, fried fish/shrimp etc tastes good but it is still NOT healthy....I used to only really like fish if it was fried/boiled but I tried grilled fish and it is GREAT! I usually squeeze some fresh lime on it, season it and throw it on the grill (along with some veggies of course), This is great for promoting weight loss as well! This is an ideal cooking method for fish fillets or pieces of fish that don't contain much bones...This can be done with Lobster etc too but Fish is healthier, as Lobster has a bit more cholesterol...but for larger/''chunkier'' pieces of fish, you can bake it, stew/steam it with onions/peppers etc, and boil it and make a gravy out of it/soup...
Hope this helped!

Seafood can be filled with cholesterol but fish usually isn't. It can be fixed in a steamer or light sauce or fried with heavy cholesterol filled batter. So it just depends.

"Fish is a good source of protein and, unlike fatty meat products, it’s not high in saturated fat. It’s also a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, which benefit heart health.
The American Heart Association recommends eating fish at least twice a week. However, some types of fish may contain high levels of mercury, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), dioxins and other environmental contaminants. Levels of these substances are generally highest in older, larger, predatory fish and marine mammals."
