Historians generally don't discuss, or think it appropriate to explain "history" in terms of miracles. That you would phrase your question in that way suggests that either you are home schooling or that you attend a religious based educational institution that interprets history through a particular religious experience. Since many, if not most, leaders in the American revolution were Deists it might be better to try to understand their world through their eyes. Deists believe in the existance of a god that created the world and then left it to operate under laws of nature without divine intervention. By definition a miracle is divine intervention acting against natural law. There were of course some devout Christians in the American revolution, most notably Patrick Henry. Most of them advocated the establishment of a state religion.

What experience made George Washington a good leader is largely an interpretive exercise. Another way of asking this question is How did George Washington effectively use his experience in life to lead fellow revolutionaries or later to lead the nation as the first president. One can argue that his extensive military experience in the French and Indian Wars provided insights into military leadership except that George Washington's experience was a mixture of failure with occasional successes. One can also argue that his extensive experience as a surveyor and planter (business leadership) played an important role
