I used to be a computer tech writer. We got a complaint from a customer caused by the failure to follow instructions.
The customer wrote, 'The manual didn't say not to do that.'
My boss asked me why I didn't include the warning NOT to do that thing. I said:
'A car owner's manual doesn't tell you NOT to drive off cliffs. Do you drive off cliffs?'
The customer dropped the complaint.

I learned why it says to use spray adhesive in a well ventilated area, preferably outdoors. I had all the windows and doors open and still got high, a headache, and threw up. It stunk for days.
