The weed is usually priced per gram and can range from 5 euro to more then 20 euro depending on the coffee shop and the strain of the weed. It isn't a very good idea to shell out 20 euro for a gram of weed as you can get hash around the same price range. To answer your question about buying half ounce, legally the shops can only sell a max of 5 grams per person per day. So to get your half ounce, you will either need a lot of people, or your legs are gonna cry by the time you are done buying your 1/2 ounce.

Weed is about 7-10 Euros per gram. As someone said before, coffeeshops are only allowed to sell 5 grams to a person at a time, so you'd have to go to 3 coffeeshops (which is easy to do in, say, Leidseplein or the Red Light District). So, it would work out to roughly the same price with the 30% exchange rate. (Damn good price for the U.S.!!)

i am most certain, there will be an array of price ranges.
one can pay $10 for a bottle of champaigne or much, much more...there will be a differance in the taste, but it's still alcohol, however, sometimes...i would rather have one good one then a handfull of stuff i can't use.
you have to decide...do i want to drink all night...or do i want one really good glass or bottle of champaigne

There is a lot more to the beauty of the Netherlands than the price of weed.It is tantamount to my asking:"How much is a burger in the U.S.A".
