Nursing is definetely a great choice. Working in a Wafer Fab, is also another choice. They usually work a compressed work week, 3 days on, then 4 off, 4 on then 3 off 12 hours a day. I work as a plant operator in a cryogenic facility, and I work 4 on, then 4 off, not quite 3 long shifts, alot of refineries and operation plants do this sort of schedule also. They all pay pretty well.

Gates Rubber manufacturing. (Get your head out of the gutter. It isn't what you think.)

They manufacture rubber hoses for aircraft and other high temperature and stress equipment.

Around here, they have a shift that works 3, 12 hour shifts but pay you for 40. Unfortunately it is over a weekend.

Where I work, we do 4, 10 hour shifts, but that is a simple way to have overtime without changing your sleep work schedule. You just get up the same time on Friday and go to work instead of having a day off.

You can also get a job working on a oil derrick at sea. Now that is a strange job. You are on for a month then off for a month.

Depending on what you do, you can earn a lot or just average, but with no place to spend it, you get a big wad of money for your month off.

If you like get certified as a commercial diver. You can only work so many minutes underwater, then you HAVE to surface and rest. This is my dream job, I am just too old to start it.

Good Luck
