My friends mother is a horoscope genius and described to me that the 12th house placement represents a "life lesson", so to speak. My 12th house is in Libra and I would like a second opinion on what that means. Also, if you know the other lessons of other signs in the 12th house I would be really grateful. Can anyone help? These are my alignments, if it helps.

P.S.
I can't find anything about this online. Why else would I ask here?

12th house puts kind of a dreamy fog around things, it can show hidden threats sometimes. and sort of a naive perception of whatever lies in it, in which i see you have no planets in it.

a Life's lesson is more of Saturn/Capricorn thing. 12th house is more of what we don't really see in reality.

with a 12th house placement in libra it means you are probably a hopeless romantic, dreaming up very romantic situations about someone you are with. on the negative side you might have a tendancy to stay with someone for two long in hopes that the relationship will go towards what you have been dreaming of.

If she is such a horoscope genius, then why is she not explaining it to you? A little astrolology in the wrong hands is dangerous. Did she also explain intercepted houses? 12th house simply relates to Pisces, Neptune, the natural rulers of that house. Libra there relates to secrets involving inlaws, health problems, or extramarital affairs. It may be something as simple as your sister-in-law has a kidney problem. But there are/will be health problems, family issues to deal with, whether it's health, drugs, alcohol, or if the aspects are good, a musician or priest/nun in the family. Life's lessons fall under Saturn/Capricorn, and not Pisces, 12th house. But there are just so many things to consider. And I haven't even looked at aspects etc.Example of what you call "life lesson"; Capricorn on the 12th is generally an indication you are your own worst enemy,- you are too critical of yourself, "I will never live up to what my parents want me to be or think I should be. "

The 12th is usually associated with the sign Pisces, and of all the houses, it seems a strong bias negative is emphasized without really looking at what could be positive. The nicest thing I've ever seen written about planets in the 12th is the possibility that the person may work great in seclusion, such as being a detective, novelist, or researcher. If a person has several 12th house planets, it's hard to read anything about it without coming away with the feeling that there's going to be a nervous breakdown, strait jackets and a few years in prison. From a karmic point of view, I see it as being what we can't fully consciously remember from some previous type of existence, and the transition of what we've brought, and don't remember, early in our development after birth. I think it's where and how we learn to control our fears, and rid ourselves of the self-limiting insecurities that hold us back.
