Is it possible to format a hard disk too often, or to edit partitions too often? I heard somewhere that it is alot of wear and tear on your hard drive. Is that true??

All drives wear out. But the life expectancy for a hard drive should be about ten years anyway. Unless you are constantly crashing your computer, you should be fine formatting it.

No, it is not any more intense than transferring files or booting up your computer.
