Ok, here are some random things I remember about this show.
1.) It is definitely a post-1995 television show.
2.) It was a drama
3.) I think there was a mob/mafia, and a cop was on the inside
4.) Pretty sure it was on ABC, but not sure
5.) The head of the mafia was a balding guy, with kind of buggy eyes (don't know his name, but a fairly famous actor)
6.) I think his wife ran some sort of brothel
7.) It was not on the air for more than two seasons
I know this is all very broad and not very descriptive, but it is driving me nuts. Please, any help is greatly appreciated.

Nope, like I said, was canceled after the first season. (maybe second)

sounds like "line of fire",but it didn't last more than one season.i think the actor you are describing was david paymer.
glad i could help.i was following this show because i graduated high school with julie emery,the show should of lasted longer for sure.

That grow to be the PBS coach referred to as "Mythquest" with siblings Cleo and Alex Bellows, 2 babies whose father Matt disappears into the Cyber Museum, a working laptop or laptop application that helps them to shuttle into myths by touching an artifact on the show.
