the past couple of days that my boyfriend and i have gone to have sex, it hurts me really bad when he goes all the way in. the only things i can think of are A) too many times or B) i had my period
but those factors don't make sense to me because they have never affected it before...does anyone know why it hurt, or have had it happen to them before?

Well, having had boyfriends with big ones and little ones, I know that when the man goes too far in, he can hit your cervix and it HURTS! I've had this happen on accident too many times! It instantly kills the mood! BY the way, this doesn't sound abnormal at all! I keep seeing women on here with the same complaint, if the man goes too far in, it hurts! *shocking* hehe
__The important part__: in my experience, if he is hurting you when he goes to far in, he is hitting your cervix, which is the entryway into your uterus. He shouldn't be hitting that, and I would suggest using positions such as you straddling him, to keep him from penetrating so deeply. If you are not ovulating (like when you are on your period, or around your period), your cervix is closer to the opening of your v**ina and hard, and it will hurt more when he hits it. When you are ovulating (about 14 days after the start of your period), the cervix is high and soft and it won't hurt so much, but you'll also be fertile unless on the pill.
The thing is, I think to the guys, it feels good to hit the cervix, because it is hitting the tip of his p**is which is the most sensitive part. You need to be your advocate and use positions that you don't hit your cervix in. The more aroused you are as well, the more your v**ina will stretch out. You'll work it out! Good luck and hope this helps!

You should consider a visit to your lady doctor for a check up. I had this happen with a boyfriend once, and the doctor told me that I have a tilted uterus, and there isn't much I could do except try various positions. You should get screened for STDs as well, as some can cause pain like you have described. Don't think it can't happen to you!

there could be several reasons why this is occuring....
This is common during passionate sexual relations, and can come and go depending on the position used during intercourse. Many conditions can cause this type of pain, including a prolapsed uterus (where the cervix and uterus are “falling out” of the vagina due to relaxation of the tissues that hold them up within the vagina), a “fallen bladder” due to childbirth, scar tissue around the uterus or ovaries (called adhesions), an ovarian cyst (although this is an uncommon cause of such pain), large uterine fibroids (non-cancerous tumors of the uterus), and endometriosis, a condition where tiny implants of blood from the uterus stick to the female organs and cause pain.
whenever there is pain with intercourse, you should have it checked out by either your primary dr or your gynocologist. sometimes this is easy to fix with medication or minor surgery.
in the meantime, try to have your boyfriend refrain from going in so deep or if it's a specific position that is causing it-stop using it until seen by a dr
try not to worry about it too much-i had the same problem as you (along with excessive bleeding with my periods-was hospitalized twice). turns out i had fibroids in my uterus and on my ovaries-the dr put me on birth control pills and everything stopped.

Periods and too many times do not cause painful sex my dear at all. I would definitely go and get checked by your lady doctor who does your pap smears. It might be time for a series of tests to make sure everything is ok.
