Should they be brought back for times you don't have an umbrella, or can't use it? They have to be better than those dreadful thin disposable plastic ponchos they sell (at rip-off prices) at sports venues and such places today.

I feel that the younger generation has become quite fickle when it comes to what they wear, afraid that they will be laughed at, if they don't fit in. I recently saw a 30-year old woman wear one, and, I thought she looked pretty classy!!! to sum it up, it's all
in how you wear it, if you feel dorky wearing it, chances are, you will look it, too. It's all in the mind, ya know!!

If your hair style will be completely ruined by moisture, it's time to get a new style. The other option is to carry an umbrella or wear a jacket with a hood. No one under the age of 75 should *ever* think about wearing a plastic rain bonnet! They are hideous!

what ..of course I live in western Washington state. it rains alot here and one of the ways we know how to tell the difference from the people that were raised here from the ones that have moved here from other parts of the us which is 51% (and have driven up our housing market and filled up our freeways) is the natives have these little rain bonnets. We wear them when we want to secretly communicate with older western Washington residents. Its an under ground code for us seniors when we are out in public and its raining in Seattle, Tacoma and Everett Washington.

My grandmother still offers me one now and I am 26 years old. Hats are in and out of style but the rain bonnet will die off with our Grandparents along with the tight rolled Bitty perm. ( Mom mom has one of those to.)

LOL!!! My sister and I make fun of our mom (she is 78) because she carries one in her purse ( and uses it).
