i just got my internet service back on and i was wondering if haveing these games installed will make my internet run slower. If so what should i buy to speed things up so i can download lots of music and play games while still haveing fast internet.

Yes there is something you could buy to speed up the game itself, a better processor, better RAM, or a better video card. RAM is the easiest way to speed up your computer but having a good processor and video card is better if you are a gamer.

The game should not have any impact on your internet connection speeds. If I remember right, Sims 2 is a bit of a resource hog so it could actually slow down your system hardware but only while the game is running. So if you Alt + Tab out and leave the game running in the background it might slow you down, but that's only on your end and it doesn't mean your connection is slowed.

I think it depends on what type of server you have...I have tons of music files, and downloads and eps for my game. My internet is pretty fast.
