I keep getting these stupid pop ups prompting me to download internet security stuff like "Spydawn" and other bogus internet sercurity. I looked it up on Yahoo Answers and im pretty sure i have a Zlob virus. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET RID OF IT ONCE AND FOR ALL!?!? I have Norton Internet Sercurity 2007, but its not working with this virus. The virus has changed my homepage, and its really getting annoying. HELP ME!!

Trojan.Zlob is a back door Trojan tht allows the remote attacker to perform various malicious actions on the compromised computer.

(1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(2) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
(3) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one if your present anti virus is not protecting you .

I dont agree with you that you have a virus based on what youve said. You have tracking cookies that are attached to websites you visit either thru their approval or otherwise.

Get yourself SpybotSearchDestroy which is free from Geeks website and install that and search and destroy them with that then innoculate the computer for adware from tracking cookies. The pop ups will then be gone.

You can also get free anti virus version www.grisoft.com and its 100% free and updated daily.

I agree with D McC, I went to http://www.spywareremove.com/removeZlob.html and I found the Zlob files I needed to remove from my computer.
