No they cannot cause trouble. Babies cry, it is the only way they can communicate when they need something. It's not like you have a dog who barks at all hours of the night because they can make you get rid of a dog. Babies are humans and they do have rights. People sometimes forget that children and babies have the same rights as adults. Your baby has every right to live with you, and if she cries, your neighbors can't say boo.

I have a three year old boy and a one and a half year old boy. I live in a two bedroom apartment that you can hear the toilet flush in the hallway. So definitely not soundproof. If anyone complains, first they are jerks, lol, second the managers will tell them pretty much that that is a part of living in close quarters and to deal with it or (pretty much) they are not forced to live here and can find another place to reside.
I've also been the neighbor and only sometimes is it slightly irritating. Honestly, the nighttime crying doesn't last THAT long and is over before you know it. To you, it'll seem like you will be sitting up half the night, half asleep, and never get a full nights sleep again. But once it's over you'll realize it's not that bad and didn't last all that long.
Don't worry about running to the baby right away cause the neighbors will think they've been crying too long. At times you have to step away for a minute even if they are new. I know I sound crappy to you now but later you will understand. A few minutes is fine. And the crying builds up the strength of the lungs. Not necessarily in the old way of thinking. Basically, don't worry, nothing will happen, and no trouble can be caused for you.

No, don't worry about it. I hear my downstairs neighbors baby all the time, I know there is nothing they can do about it, it doesn't bother me. If it did I would just turn on a fan or something. There is no laws about babies crying, that's what they do. If it were a dog barking all the time though, I would be mad!
You have other stuff to worry about then your baby bothering the neighbors. Just think of all your sleepless nights and not your neighbors!
Good luck on your little one!

They could make a fuss about it, but what I did was to go to my two next door neighbors and apologize in advance for the crying of my baby, explaining her that I would be bringing home my baby in a couple of weeks (this was one year ago) and she looked at me and just laughed and told me she understood. She was very nice. If your neighbors complain about that, your landlord can't do anything about it, because is out of your control. s

I would think they wouldn't because you can't control a crying baby. As long as you aren't letting the baby cry all the time and not doing anything about it there isn't much they can say. If you are worried speak to them beforehand or ask your landlord what he/she thinks of the situation.

You should of thought of this a bit sooner dont you think?
They can complain but babies cry.
The only way you would get into trouble is if youre letting the baby scream for long periods of time and not attending to it. Or you are not caring for your baby properly.

I wouldn't think so. But you may need to check your lease agreement just to be on the safe side. But your neighbors should be understanding, I mean babies cry. Good Luck.
