Hey all!

Alright, to be honest, I've never seen the starwars saga, probably since not so many ppl around me were talking about it, or were "brainwashing" me to absolutely watch them... But it actually seems a little interesting, so now that all 6 of the episodes are out, which do you recommend i watch first, since the 4th one was the first (if im not mistaken). Just wondering if I should start watching from #1 - #6 to see the story line develop or watch them in chronological time of release?

Always start with the original!

Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi

Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Episode III: Reveng of the Sith

Of the new trilogy, the Episode III is the best. (in my opinion) But, definitely watch the original three first.

depending on what all you know about the Star Wars saga (there are some big shockers in the Original Triliogy which are Episodes 4-6), i recommend watching Episodes 4-6 then 1-3. this is the much more satisfying way to watch Star Wars as you learn about the various twists and turns of Star Wars before actually seeing them in the Prequel Trilogy (Episodes 1-3). if you dont want any surprises and just want to follow the story starting with the earliest time in the saga, watch Episode 1 first.

The original star wars (4-6) is the best and will encourage you to watch 1-3 so i would start with 4, then 5, 6, and finally 1, 2 and 3....

First watch Episodes 4, 5, and 6 (the ones that came out in the theater first). They actually have good acting and even a bit of occasional humor.

By the time Lucas did Episodes 1, 2, and 3, he was so caught up in creating special effects that he forgot about the story. I honestly have never seen #3, simply because #2 was so bad. I've seen better acting in community theater.

I would say watch them chronologically in dates of release. So that mean start with Star Wars: A New Hope

You should watch 1-6.
The reason Lucas released it starting with #4, is because back then he had no clue if it woud be a huge hit, or a huge bomb! When it WAS a huge hit, he continued the story. However, that doesn't mean it's better to watch it 4-6. If you have never seen it, and don't know much about it, watch it from the beginnging so you can catch all the little details in the other movies!!

Watch 4-5-6

Don't watch 1-2-3
(Although I think 3 was best of the new batch, it needs bit of build-up from 1 & 2, and that's just not worth the effort)

Watch the origional 3, meaning #3, #4 and the 6th one: Return of the Jedi. The three made in the last few years were terrible and they might turn you off. But the ones with Mark Hammel and Harrison Ford as wonderful.

tricky question. if you want the story in chronological order then you want #4-6 then #1-4. this is the way i would watch them. but be warned! the special effects are going to be way different this way. remember the first three were made in the late 70s. but overall i think you will be most satisfied watching them as the story progresses.

If you want to be surprised as all fans were watch first #4 to #6. If you want to learn all the story since the beginnig, watch the movie from the first episode. It is way better to start with the fourth episode.
