He was a great leader in time of war and he made sure that the vets had something to look forward to when they came home. The GI bill made this country a beacon of prosperity in the 1950s from his vision.

Ford. He was President when I was about 11 and happened to pass by our car on his way to somewhere from the airport. We stopped to watch the motorcade go by, and my dad was a police officer who never stopped for anything interesting! We even got out of the car! Ford actually rolled down the window and waved to us!
