Im trying to install the 1.5 patch for Call of Duty 2 but it wont recognize that the game is already installed

on my computer. Why not?
This is the message I keep getting after I try to run the Patch file...

try to uninstall and then reinstall the whole game (move your save games and character files first of course). then try again. are you sure you have a valid copy of the game, not a pirated or "backup" copy from a friend? also, check the support guides or forums at the game manufacturer's website. there is likely someone else seeing the same thing you are.
