So last month I had my period on January 8th and then this month I didn't get it until February 14th. However I usually have a 28-30day cycle. What should I do? When should I start my ovulation tests?

Generally, the instructions for OPKs suggest that you start testing based on your shortest cycle in the last six months. If your last six cycles were 22 days, 26 days 28 days, 28 days, 30 days and 28 days, you would follow the instructions for testing with a 22 day cycle. The package in my bathroom says that with a 22 day cycle, you should begin testing on day 5. Day 1 is the first day of your period.

Follow the instructions that come with whatever particular brand of tests you have though.

U could use a FREE ovulation calendar on the Internet. Try this one first. http://www.mymonthlycycles.com

There are more you can google them if u don't like that one. I would just start from this one u just had and set it for 28 days and then for 30 days. Hope that helps good luck.

Take your temp every morning before you even get up. If your temp is higher than usual you are ovulating.

Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating plus it keeps tracks of your periods. It will even email you ahead of time to alert you of your upcoming fertile/ovulation and period dates. It is a free and very helpful website.

Save your money on those tests and try the basal body temp. method.

Worked for me both times. Pregnant first try both times. And I was told about it by my friends who had the same success.
