I just recently came back from a day filled with window shopping at three malls.
Your question reminds me of what I remarked on, look at those printed prom dresses. They used to be plain tulle, with lots and lots of material designed to make its wearer look like a debutante.
Yes, there are a few around. Sorry I didnt look at the tags to see who made them.
It all depends on whether it looks good on you or not. Choose the ballroom dress that makes you the prettiest , and makes heads turn . WIth a great hairdo and flawless make up ( dont forget the accesories) All the people will say is "Where did you buy that dress?" when all they want to say is "WOW, you look good."
So , before you buy it, try it on, bring your best friend or someone honest enough to say, Yikes, that is horrible or buy it, its beautiful.

Yes. Have a printed ballroom dress is more than acceptable. In some cses it much more fashionable than not. Also, depending on the style of the dress, you may pair it with a solid color wrap for a little extra contrast.
Some coordinating jewelry, if not diamonds, should take into consideration the hue of the dress and also compliment the dress for the total package!
