i just placed 1st in my leage and i need to know if a used trumpet would be better that a new one to use. i was thinking about getting a new one only my parents dont agree with that and think i should get a used one... which whould be better for me? i have played sence 4th grade and need i new trumpet.

Go to a music shop and try some.
I love my Shilkie but they are expensive.

It depends on the condition of the used trumpet. If it's in bad shape, look for a better one. The good thing about used instruments is that you don't have to "break it in".... and it's just as good as a new one if not better. It's also less costly

I was going to say something smart-***...until I read your entire question.Stay with it,VH-1 has a way to get new instruments.If I had one I would send it to you.E mail your favorite artist with your delima,maybe they will help.You could also try local thrift shops, sometimes you will find brand new instruments for little money. If you show your folks how much you care...maybe they will help.Take care and I hope you find a new Horn.Oh!!! If this is a school band or music class you should be able to rent one- new or used
