now days it doesn't matter that is what it used to be you truly can get married in any color of dress that you feel like wearing that is just how it was years and years ago and it just keeps getting passed on throgh all of the generations but not too many people go by that anymore only the true tradditional one! so no it is not wrong if you wear a white dress and have children.i've seen many single moms get married in white! just do what you want!!

The truth about white is that the bride is supposed to be a virgin. In todays world wearing white is pretty much just the fashion trend. A truly traditional family will have not only their daughter, but their soon to be son in-law wear white. This means that both of them have saved themselves for marriage. If the woman is not a virgin then white is definitely not supposed to be worn, but as I said before white has pretty much become the norm for all weddings. I hope you find this helpful. Good Luck

Wearing white has nothing to do with virginity. It was a fashion statement started by Queen Victoria. You can wear whatever you want on your wedding day-even black or red. Supposedly, you should only wear a veil if you are a virgin, but in any case, no one pays attention to these "rules". Do what you want.
Women who are getting married for the second or third time sometimes don't wear white because it's not as big of an event as their first wedding. They may even wear a suit.

i've heard that old catholic tradition believes that white is innocence and purity and that the reason the flower girl or jr bridesmaids wear the same color as the bride is to confuse any evil spirits...to ward off bad karma for the marriage...just a wivestale maybe

the tradition is that a bride wears white as a symbol of purity...and to show she's a virgin...but in this day and age people just wear white regardless...and i think white dresses look better than any other color...so just wear what u want...just wear what you will feel comfortable in.

It is just a tradition. The white represents purity. These days you can wear just about whatever you want. I wore off white when I married my ex-husband and white when I married my husband.

When a lady is getting married, she should wear whatever color she chooses. White is so beautiful at weddings but she could mix it with other colors and still be beautiful.

It's all about what you believe is appropriate, if you are getting married in the church then white is a no-no, but there are colors that are almost white that will be a good choice.
