My friend is from Nicaragua. Shes very interested in her heritage and history. Anything dealing with native indians and how life was there or in the past. I found some books but mostly were just picture books. Any ideas?

yes, i have some ideas. but best way for you is to go to your local bookstore and glance at the history section. you will find many books with less pictures and more content. PS. try to pick "travel books on Nicaragua" -- they usually explain the past and the present. it will be a nice gift. hope it helps.

Check out your local library for recently published books on Nicaragua's history or heritage. If you find something good, write down the title and author and go to your local book store and ask if they have it or if they can order it. Don't go for anything over 3 years old because you won't find it in the book store. If you find one that is really good and is older, try using the search engine on amazon or ebay.
Good luck! Hope I helped.
