I get a RUNDLL popup that says "Error loading C:\windows\System32\subgudbw.dll" "the specified module could not be found"

I have had a lot of virus removed today but that seems like one is still there.

Thanks

if that does not solve the problem then run system file checker

Rundll.exe to put it simply is a program that runs as a dll. Which isn't really important. I don't think you have a problem at all. I'm guessing that you had a virus that was running as a dll. When your computer is starting up, the virus is supposed to start up, and since windows can not find the virus it is displaying a message that it can not find a start up file. To correct this: go to start, run, and type in msconfig. If it says msconfig cannot be found then go to google and find a msconfig download. Once you have msconfig started up. Go to the startup tab and find the name of the dll that windows can not find and reomove the check mark disableing it. Save your settings and reboot. You will get a message that your starting up in custom settings. Select do not show again, and close it. it will ask you to restart again, but you don't need to.

U have a missing file or it is corrupt. Could have been from the virus. However, you can use restore or if you have the Norton's professional version of Go Back, it can be corrected. If you cannot do any of these then U will have to find a download for the fix. You need to write down the exact wording for missing file for the download. You can find it on Micorsoft Knowledge Base.

Good luck !

What thats saying is a program (startup) is looking for that file, so to clean it manually you want > start >run>msconfig>startup and see if any programs are in there that are calling it or anything you dont want in there and get rid of it.
Next back at run> regedit >edit > find take note of F3 next find, and type in that dll name or name of program calling it if you know it and delete all references.
BE CAREFUL regedit doesnt play around you could wind up having to reload system.
A SAFER way is to try CCleaner or Registry Cleaner.
and hope you get lucky.
