No it's not right, Emawee, the woman is a child abuser and a drunk.
Busta - Emawee and I are different people. We just both have great minds and are both a little spoiled. We like each other and value each other's advice on this forum. Have a nice day, and please try not to say anything too rude on YA from now on.

Go to Burger King or McDonald's, get a job there, that's probably what you'll end up doing with the rest of your life anyway since you obviously don't care about bettering yourself, and you disrespect your Mom enough to call her names. After you've worked a few weeks go try to find an apartment to rent, just don't look in the better neighborhoods, you won't be able to afford those. Call the electric company and start services, the first payment is usually a lot so don't expect to have extra money right away for things like cable, phone, etc. See how much money you have after paying all of the bills to be able to go on Spring Break or Summer Vacation, that is if your boss lets you take time off to actually have vacation, usually you have to work a year to earn vacation time. Maybe by the time that first year passes you'll realize how easy your life really was at home and you'll want to do better and respect your Mom for all that she does for you.

I think more problems can be resolved if they are talked through calmly. When we shout the other person just tunes us out. Resolution also requires listening by both parties.I think that your mom is right to take away anything that may be a distraction to you. I think that your mom is wrong to not stick with a consequence. Where is the motivation ?There is an expectation by every parent that their child will do their best at school and in life in general.Perhaps your mom should hire a tutor for you but even that will only work if you put an honest effort into it.Everyone learns at different rates and has different abilities so it really doesn't matter if someone is smarter or not than you as long as you know in your heart you have honestly tried your very best to succeed.People can fool other people but they cannot fool themselves. It is your education, your future. You must decide where you want to be in 5-10 years.

As upset as it makes you I think she is in the right here. Right now those are the things that are important to you. You are young and right now you don't have a lot of responsibilities to worry about. In a few years when you have moved out of the house your priorities will change drastically and instead of worrying about TV and Ipods will worry about paying rent, electric bills, taking the car to get an oil change, projects at work, and other things. Even the conversations you have with your friends will change. You will talk more about current events and politics or work rather than who's doing what at school or what you plan to do for spring break. School may seem like a minor detail now but it has everything to do with your future and your mom just wants you to realize that. She's just not letting you know in best way. Put a little more effort into your work and it will go a long way. Who knows, you may even find some of the stuff you learn interesting. Try not to be mad at her and put yourself in her shoes.

sound fair to me. She may be going about it the wrong way, she should be sitting down and talking to you offering to help you not yelling at you, but she is deep down just trying to help you. If you don't study and work hard then you won't get a good job. Of course, this isn't the only thing in life you should be focusing on. God likes a hard worker, but he also likes people to talk to Him and read his Book, the Bible. Try a bit harder, anything is possible. I mean, you don't want your whole future conversations to include, "you want fries with that?"
Remember, stop being in a pity party and thinking no one understands you or knows what you are going through. I am in jr. high. My parents are strict too. They have grounded me from all fun except reading and writing before and for a two month period of time. And they ween't joking when they said two months. Get out of your mindset and imagine, if you were an adult and you loved your child dearly, wouldn't you want them to be the best they could be, to live a successful life, and if they weren't doing good in school wouldn't you worry about them ending up homeless, a street walker or something!? Try to step into your mom's shoes for a minute. And think about what life would be like if you got a good job, or a bad one.

To tell you honestly, it depends on your potential. Your mom cares about you and your work. :) I remember as a young teenager that I was always reading or sleeping in class so I was making B's and C's and my mom would be so angry because I didn't try hard enough. She was right in a way. Also, do you have trouble in areas. She may not be aware you are having trouble in certain subjects. She is not overreacting and maybe she sees things you don't. Watching tv instead of doing your homework, talking on your cell phone. You saying you are not as smart as an adult seems like an excuse in my opinion. Instead, maybe you should see why you got in trouble. She may also see you not caring about school. I know school seems stupid when you are going but it is important in life. Wait until you have a child. I could only imagine what my mom and dad went through in raising me. She does not just get you in trouble to get you in trouble and she is not out to get you. If you are not doing the best you can then she is right.

expensive Bryce, What your mom is doing isn't correct. She is scary you. that is my advice for you. at the same time as it occurs back, do no longer supply off any signs and indications that you're annoyed, afflicted, or perhaps that you attempt to kick back down. All of this may purely make her galvanize you, which she does because, i imagine, it amuses her to. once you eventually end up getting indignant or annoyed, thoroughly suppress your self, and say on your mom, "all correct, mom, i will bypass to my room and play." If she follows you there, faux that she would not exist and keep on with what you're doing as if she weren't the following. it variety of feels, fairly, that your mom might want to be bored. are you able to point any activities for her? benefit this in case you could. At any cost, take this message: it may well be authentic that you get indignant easily, even perhaps that you've anger complications, yet what your mom is doing the following isn't correct. do no longer make too a lot of her.

Failing grades are a huge deal when you're in school, because all you're doing is going to school and having fun...and if you're not at least PASSING the school part, you're not doing your job as a kid. It's very fair. If you fail school you'll fail life, meaning you'll work at McDonald's (or nowhere) once you graduate, and your mom is just trying to motivate you to make sure this doesn't happen. Pass your classes, stay in school, and appreciate the fact that your mom doesn't want you to be ignorant so that you can have all the opportunities in the world to make your life exactly how you want it when you grow up. Suck it up, pass you classes, and enjoy still having all your stuff. Hey, she gave it to you, she can take it away if you're not doing your responsibilities...which are to pass school.

As a mom, I just went thru this with my daughter today.
She is failing 2 classes and can only use the computer for homework and nothing else. No tv ,no telephone,no friends.
Til her grades improve. Why because I love her and I don't want
to see her working for a fastfood place and marrying some
wife beater and liveing on welfare.
I know she can do the work as I am sure your mom feels you can.
If you are haveing real problems with it ask for help.

By the looks of your spelling and grammar you need to study more anyway. And watching TV, playing on the Internet are not going to prepare you for the future. It sounds like you are a bit spoiled and need to be brought down a level or two. I think you are taking for granted life and need to grow up. I am not sure how old you are but you need to realize you need to do your best in school and the only thing your mom is concerned about is you and your future. So.... Quit calling your mom (who would probably die for you) a ***** and show her some respect!!!! School is important and you may not realize that now, but it will help prepare you for college. Grow up

Well, im a teen. But, imma have to agree with your mom. Apply yourself, study, DO BETTER. You can, if you TRY. Thats the key. If you want to do the things you want, and keep your stuff, do what your mother says. Shes trying to help you gain SOME intelligance. Shes probablly also trying to teach you, that not you dont ALWAYS get your way. You seem like a spoiled brat to me.
