Heh. My house is being invaded, too. Happened last year, as well.
The problem is that hardier species of ladybugs have been imported for "organic" pest control. These ladybugs, rather than dying in the winter, seek warm shelter for survival. Places like your house, and mine.
The only way to stop them, really, is to find their point of entry and seal it up. Which is not easy. At all. Unless you get lucky (relative term) and notice a whole bunch of lady bugs congregating on an outside (or inside) wall of your house.

Why would you want to get rid of them?
They are good to have around, as they eat other bad bugs, mites, and aphids.
If you don't want them, send them to my house, I've set out a couple thousand and can't keep the goofs to stay around more than a few days...guess I don't have enough bad bugs around here.

Do not kill the lady bugs! Scoop them up and put them outside.
They eat other insects, especially the aphids that like to devour our flowers. In addition, they are really very pretty.
I have handled them, allowed them to crawl on my hands and have never had a bite.

ladybugs are the good bugs, let them be, they are harmless.
some folks order them in the mail just to kill bad bugs in their flower beds in the summer.
they mean Good Luck, leave them alone.
u can let them crawl on your hand, they do not bite.

Were you aware that they can bite? Its a rather painful bite as well. Surprised me.
By the way they "swarm" about this time each year, i think its the mating season. They eat other insects so they are beneficial to your plants and your garden. They do however bite. I did not find this out until a couple of years ago. Little known fact. Perhaps I should say they "can" bite. Ive handled them all of my life until one day one chomped down on me. They are not aggressive.

What you have are NOT lady bugs. They are Canadian BEETLES. Kill all you want. They are orange. Lady bugs are red. Don't touch them. The good they do is immeasurable!

Are you finding them on your windows. Well I did. I had hundreds of them. They are living in your window frames. I finally figured them out. I have the fold in windows so, I folded them in and sprayed bug spray down the tracks and in any little crack of crevise I could find. Guess what! No more Lady bugs. PS those little black dots you find on your windows is lady bug poo.
