I personally think the dv6000 is a good machine - my room mate just purchased the same and we love it.. of course we picked up the 6000z, which is feel is maximum bang for the buck!
and just look at the way HP n Dell shares have been behaving all of last year, HP has almost doubled while Dell has gone down 40%..
i think HP is a wise choice.. they've invested well in after sales support n are definitely cheaper n more value for money

HP computers from what I was told are not the best since you can't do much with them if they go to crap, but Dell has very good support and I am working off a Dell that I've had for 4 years it's a good system and price wise Dell is better.

i does not purchase the two, Dell has a terrible help group and HP computers extremely are actually not made properly. Gateway computers additionally don't have a great help device (hubby used to artwork for them). in my view Sony Vaio are the extra solid. they're incredibly extra high priced, yet they're well worth it. verify them out.
