How do I break a song thats over 120 min on a 120 min cd?

I have a recording thats about 3 hours long. How do I break it up? I have windows media player 11 and ibm recording software?

What is a software title I can use?

With even simple free editing software you can load the file, cut off from the beginning (choosing a good place to stop) and save the last half in a new file with a new name like mysong2.mp3, then reload the original file, find the same point and cut to the end and save the remiins under a new name like mysong1.mp3
