Usually when I put Mascara and I wanna take it off I just wash my face with soup and water. Today I tried a new type of Mascara and I tried to wash it off with soup and water as usual but it made black marks around my eyes ( you know what I am talking about, right?) Well, i rubbed it so hard that now the skin around my eyes is red and black and it sort of burns!!!!!!!! how can i take the black marks off? HELP!
THX for any help!

Eye makeup should be removed before you wash your face! That's why you got the black around the eyes. You've just mushed it all over your face! Use a Q-tip dipped in eye makeup remover lotion or gel and use a Kleenex to blot while you're taking it off. Or you can use those pre-moistened cleansing cloths on the eyes first, and then wash your face after that. I just use the pre-moistened cloths for everything. I do the eyes first. Be gentle. And then I continue with the rest of the face. You did far too much rubbing. Not necessary! Right now, to heal that, dab with baby oil or vaseline on a tissue and then use lots of eye cream to help the skin recover. You just shocked your skin! Now you'll have to baby it for awhile! But experiment with what you like best. But use something more than soap and water. That will not remove all types of mascaras. Especially waterproof. Wash-off mascaras do exist, but obviously you must have picked a long staying one. They're harder to take off and need the above tools I mentioned. Good luck!

Well, I usually use soap and water, but if you're having that hard of a time getting off, I would recommend that you go to a drugstore and buy an eye makeup remover.

You can try some eye makeup remover after the redness is gone, but for now splash some milk on your face it will help with the irritation and if you want to try to remove the mascara tonight try the baby oil. I wouldn't try the eye makeup remover until the irritation is gone.

Uhm, you need eye makeup remover. Stop rubbing your face. Eye makeup should be taken off with a gentle remover to your liking - they come in a water-like form or a more oily liquid. I don't recommend the oily kind if you're young or ever get pimples.

Have any vaseline? Put a little bit on the end of a Q-tip and gently wipe around your eye. Do not get any in your eye. Makeup remover? Again, a little on a q-tip goes a loooong way!!!

well my guess is you don't want to use a regular make up remover .. it may be that your new mascara is waterproof so is hard to remove with just soap and water but If you don't have a eye make up remover use some cooking oil .. it will take your make up off and it would help your skin too.. good luck !!!

Try some make up remover or witch hazel from your local drug store. The difference in one coming off with the soap and water is the other one may be water- proof. hope it helps.
