Some of my friends said that they wear only concealer and they look radiant and nice. I was just curious if it's good for all skin types?

Concealer is meant to be used to hide skin imperfections and cover up blemishes. Foundation should be used to even out your skin tones, not to mention to protect it from environmental impurities. You can get a great foundation through Mary Kay that will lighten your skin the way you want it to. (Not to mention it would be a lot cheaper to use a foundation...you get so much less concealer and would have to buy it probably 4 - 5 times to just one tube of foundation.)

I wouldn't recomend only wearing concealer. I think they're trying to pull a fast one on you. There are products ypou can buy that will either enhance or make your skin look more radiant. There are facials you can use too. For foundation I just started using Rimmel Recover. It's designed to make your complexion more luminous and I love it. It has subtle sparkles in it that really make me look fresh and bright. Also try a subtle dusting of shimmery bronzer on your cheekbones. That will really make your face pop. But don't use concealer for your whole face. If anything, it will make you look really fake and that is not the point of makeup. The point is to enhance the beautiful features you already have. And here's a hint for choosing your foundation: Test a small amount on your hand or wrist, if it blends well with your complexion, it's the right color for you. Also for concealer, if you have blemishes with redness, try using a duo concealer where one is green in color and the other is skin colored. Use the green first and vlend well. The cool tone will minimize the redness. Then apply with the skin colored concealer, continue with foundation and the rest of your makeup application.
Hope that helps!

NO! My cousin has the same problem, and the concealer makes it look worse. Use a good face wash daily or every other day, depending on the oiliness of your skin. Cut out concealer until the redness and acne gets better, it is okay tohugh if you have mild acne and redness to wear concealer. Just depends on how severe your skin is. Good luck and hope I helped!

No, concealer is just to do that...........conceal blemishes,, darkness, and puffiness. What I think you are looking for is a light illuminator, which uses light with 3-d pigments to make your skin look more radiant. Clarins has good products that do just that, in their concealers, premakeup bases, and their foundations. Prescriptives also has their "magic" line that does the same thing.

You're suppose to go with a shade lighter than your skin tone. Concealer is really just to hide or cover up things before you use foundation. Anyone can use concealer , but the right shade.

Being a 36 year old lady and having long given up my dream of getting a fairer skin tone. Aside from my age, I am of African-American lineage and have dark spots on my eyebrows and cheeks. They were the cause of years of embarrassment because people constantly looked and stared at them! I have tried make-ups to cover them up but they hardly worked.

When I came across this product and read the testimonials, I immediately made my purchase and tried your different approach. A few days later, I am seeing that my skin is already getting whiter which brought a new level of confidence in my personality..

Instead of wearing a concealer, there is a mask that can be refrigerated. Wearing the refrigerated mask for ten minutes in the morning, will make your face look very refreshed. You won't need to wear a concealer. This is especially true for your eyes. Your face will feel refreshed and LOOK refreshed. A look color (blush) is all you'll need for your face.

Yes, but you have to match the concealer to your skin color. I wouldn't put it all over the face though. Concealer tends to feel heavier in texture than regular makeup, so I can't imagine it all over the face. The new mineral foundatins are awesome! L'Oreal's Bare Naturale is amazing, and it covers all imperfections, is light in feeling and the skin just glows the best of anything I've discovered so far! I don't even need concealer with this one!

ew, that sounds kind of gross actually. concealer is heavier than normal makeup and i'm sure if you wear it all over it could clog your pores.

try Studio Fix by MAC. it's a powder foundation, but it stays on great! i have oily skin so i was skeptical at first that a powder might not stay on, but it's amazing. and it's only $25 and usually lasts me at least 2 months per container.

I've never tried it all over but i know if i put it under my eyes with out covering it with foundation it looks pretty bad. Why not just buy a good foundation and use concealer on bad spots.
