Will the US pull out of Iraq?

Didn't our government tell us we were there to build a democracy?

Why isn't Iraqi constitutional reform, election reform issues dealt with first? That is the reason we are there?

Here is the reason our soliders are dying, here is the reason more then 20,000 troops have been injuried with life long disabilities. Here is the reason the troops coming home have to fight through an endless buracracy to get care.

"According to Iraqis familiar with the deliberations, the draft law would offer international oil companies several methods to invest, including production-sharing agreements. Those would give U.S. and other international companies a substantial share of the oil revenues to recover their initial investments and then allow them big tax breaks."

Gee, our oil companies will rebuild Iraqs devestated oil wells and provide a win, win for both sides. What a chrisis!!! Then Iraq will have some real revenue to start rebuilding it's infrastructure. That will create jobs for the unemployed young men that are being seduced by local militias. What will we do if Iraq is able to stand on its own two feet? Heck, they may even like us. Can't have that, now can we.

Hi,

Well.. years ago.. I felt so alone now it seems more and more people are realising what is REALLY happening..

I'm sure USA has some intentions to create a genuine democracy.. and also that USA did not intenend for its soldiers to be killed.. USA did however show reckless abandon towards Iraqi civilians which is simply unforgivable..

However.. the end result is what you've written.. now they control the oil!!

If Iran is bombed.. the world will already know why.. and if I were american I would be worried.. not immediately.. but in the future.. because when you own everything.. you'll then have to defend it.. and that can mean whilst you enjoy more lururies than other nations.. that you will also live with constant fear and threat of attack..

IS THIS A WAY TO LIVE???

The saddest part of it is.. most americans will never gain a THING from any of the stolen oil!! Not a thing!!

The only beneficiaries will likely be the mass industrialists and ultr rich who own everything already..

The American economy will look good and the dollar will gain strength.. since oil will still be traded in US dollars.. but essentially.. after this war.. I think the game's up.. I just hope Bush and his boys know what they're doing.. I cant see any sense beyond what you assirted.. one would think they can see things us mear mortals cannot.. I hope they have a good point other than self-preservation.. if not.. then mass global revolution will be in the winds again.. because i dont think the world wants another 50 years of American domination where the environment is further destroyed and famine is further ignored.. I just dont know.. this is a very sad period in history..

That law passed the Iraqi council today I believe, See BBC but I doubt we'll leave. Bushco is the guest that wouldn't leave AIPAC is not ready to let us off the hook yet. Between the oil co. and Israel lobby we will be lucky to be out of there by 2210 AD. If we gain control of most of mid-east oil we can control China and India growth rates and they will have to keep buying us treasury notes to keep our over inflated dollar as dominant currency for international transactions. maintaining American supremacy is the driving force of the policy. Ill conceived and poorly played out it has been laced with wishful thinking and any and all of the inevitable unforeseen consequences have been shoveled under the rug. But they won't stay there, as they already working to the surface.

Sounds fishy to me and I saw the news report. How can Bush tell us that we're there for democracy when all his buddies are getting rich from the contracts that he has steered their way. I don't think we will ever get out of Iraq.

Well that's only if the civil war in Iraq doesn't get worse because if it does no one is going to own any oil wells until somebody wins and that could take decades.
