my cousin told me they have a program for fashion merchandising...and I think I read something like that on their site..true? is it a good program? pros/cons for the school?

Depends. It's respected a lot for it's cinema department and it's diversity. There are other schools that are more prestigious for fashion and would look really good when you graduate, like the academy of art university in downtown San Francisco. AAU job placement after graduation is 93%. SFSU's fashion department isn't exactly a prized possession and only a handful of their grads ever get a great paying job in their field. I think the difference is because SFSU doesn't showcase student work, or push for excellence in fashion outside of the school. Where as AAU does and has an international following.
