they crawl on the carpet, they are black, they have a hard body, and if you touch them they curl into a ring.

Roley Poleys. They are harmless. I've never seen them get in carpet.

we called them balley bugs cause they rolled in a ball. I've never seen them in a carpet tho. maybe you brought them in from outside somehow.

they are roly polies, they are harmless and usually outdoors in the summer if u pull a rock up.
some are gray colorish, they eat bad bugs in the soil.

we always just called them roly-polys.
I have never seen them in carpets, but we have lots under any rock around here
