I have a cockatiel that died recently about 3 weeks ago and ever since she died I am trying to find a better bird but when I go to see the baby something bad happens causing me not to go. I think it is her spirit holding on to something. What is it? What does she want? How do I get rid of the spirit? HELP!!!!!!!!!!

When a bird dies, it's dead. There are no spirits or anything. What you're experiencing is most likely your own mind playing tricks on you.

A better?? bird. That would somehow imply that she would be second best. I don't know....I have had pets pass on my whole life. I have had several that were my best friends. The weird thing is, the day after they die, the sun is always shining. Always. I think it is their way of letting me know everything will be okay and that they love me. It cheers me up. I truly believe in spirits. Listen to the song called "I Believe" by the group Diamond Rio sometime. I think it makes sense to me. I would just go get the new animal, but do something nice, like play a special song for your old bird. Light a candle and devote a few minutes to just her and her spirit. Think about what she gave you and what she meant to you. This should cure your problem. Good luck, honey.

personally i cant blame you for looking for another bird.
you said that everytime you go look for another that something bad happens. can you explain what that something bad was?
and yes animals can have a restless spirit just like humans.
are you sure that you want to get rid of her spirit?
ask yourself a question/ would you still be alive if that [something bad] had not happened?
in other words maybe that spirit of your bird saved your life!!
research that out and then make a decision of whether or not you really want to get rid of her spirit.
if you still want to get rid rid of her spirit/ simply tell her spirit to
[vacate as soon as possible] in a tone that you think that it will understand.

it sounds like her spirit is trying to hold on to your love and concern for it.

please email me about this in detail and explain what is going on. for i will help you. that is what i am trained to do.

Maybe the cockatiel is trying to tell you something. I saw a show that says spirits do not leave Earth until the job undone is done. That is what I think. Don't worry and don't be afraid. Try a person who can contact ghosts. He/she might be able to help.

I don't think so, not with a bird. I have to believe it's coincidence. Just go get another one, and good luck.

There's no in between answer, either you want a new cockatiel or you don't. As easy as one, two three and abc.

She sounds like a jealous bird to me. Tell her to go into the light.

Sit down and just -talk- to her when you feel her. or talk to her old cage, old food dish, anything that was -hers-. Explain to her what happened. She'll understand. She just wants to know she's still loved, too. =)
