I have heard that if you are experiencing voices or seeing things that scare you that you should place a jar of water with the lid closed under your bed for three days. But you have to close off all other water that the spirit might go into. toilet lids cat water ect. you wait three days then go to a cross road. open the jar and throw it over your shoulder but don't look back or it won;t work. If you hear any type of noise or vioces its completed. Do you find this fact or fiction and why?

I don't know about that method, never heard of it before.
I understood the only way to 'catch' any spirit, whether benign or otherwise, was to bind it to something. The ultimate would be to bind it the the lower realms below the physical.
The only problem with this is that you need something to bind it too, and if you choose a being you subject them to the effects of that spirit. If you choose to bind the spirit to an object instead then that object would become YOUR responsibility, and you would have to make sure persons unable to cope with the spirit bound to it came in contact with that object.
The piece of advice I really wish to give you is to not be afraid. Spirits cannot harm you unless they gain influence over a being on the physical plane, on their own they only have their will and voice as tools. You may actually find what you are seeing/hearing is not 'evil' per se but simply something attempting to make contact with someone who is able to perceive it's presence.
An open, although cautious, mind is the best thing you can take into your next encounter.

I am not sure, but yes, about the water is the fact. You can catch the evil spirit, but you dont just use regular water you use both tap and holy water. Spirits may also can be tricky and they can be able to get away and be glued to you. You must have a strong mind and soul and the evil spirit may just leave or just be gone.

I think what you should concentrate on is getting RID of an evil spirit. If you are interested in that then what I can suggest short or having a holy man cleanse your home is commanding the spirit in Jesus's name to leave and they will have no choice but to obey. But if you want to KEEP them out then you need to examine what in your life or in house is inviting them in and get rid of it. Contention, hatred, jealousy, and things like that are the things evil spirts are attracted to.. so check yourself.

depends on your particular brand of Hoodoo. there are seveal different ways to "get rid of" stuff like you are talking about. the most important ingredient is your willingmess to belive in the act and it's outcome.
Who knows if it's fact or fiction. the power of ritual and the human mind is very strong.
