Whirlpool Duet. Absolutely love mine. I have the drier also. It has every possible setting you can think of. I use very little water and detergent. They were rated #1 in Consumer Reports.

For 45 years I have always used Kenmore from Sears. I have Bought most of my large appliances from them . In those years I replaced my washer once.

Ariston makes some very nice ones that handle 13 lbs.
