DEFINITELY the second. (Wouldn't it IMPLY the plural, anyway?)

Either way sounds great...not too much of a difference. As a business owner myself I can see where chosing a name is a tough decision. I really don't think that your clients will be too concerned with the business name, just how committed you are to your work and the job that you do. Personally I think you should go with:

custom design & renovations, LLC

That way your not using two plurals...the "s" on the end of renovations says it for both. Good Luck!

A BUSINESS NAME SHOULD ALWAYS BE PLURAL! U R DOING MORE THAN ONE DESIGN AND RENOVATION.

I'm sure that you are going to use more words in the name.

eg maybe it will be "Carol's......." in that case the singular is better.

In "Carol's Custom Design..." the singular is much more personal. the customer thinks "Carol is designing for me."

In "Carol's Custom Designs..." the customer thinks Carol is designing for many people, maybe she is not as "custom" as she says.
