That's almost like asking why some people are mean. Even though Mollies are generally peaceful fish, sometimes you do get mean ones.

I've never had a full grown female molly that didn't dominate a tank even with breeding pairs of angels. Normally they won't do a lot of harm as long as you don't have them smaller top water fish. You might want to get a couple of males to chase her around, wear her out.

She could be pregnant or something, I guess. Or possibly sick. I've never known a molly to be aggressive. So it is something in particular.

Molly's are territorial sometimes, and she may be pregnant
