I thought it was the Best Oscars I had seen in a long time. Ellen was great and almost vaccuumed Cruz's feather skirt and having Steven take her pic with Eastwood was funny. I loved the screen with the performers making shapes...I thought that was a quick and interesting way of showing the different movies. Nothing bad really pops out at me. But the best was Spielburg telling Scorese that Departed won backstage, Scorese didn' hear the winner and Speilburg had to say to him, "You won!"

The best bit was when they stopped and the worst bit was when they started. What a waste of time. Trying to watch the news this morning. i'm sure we're at war in several places - instead I get half an hour on how expensive these diamond crusted shoes/handbag/pepper spray is.

Best moment: Ellen DeGeneres handing Scorcese the screenplay she wrote! (ahaha..love Ellen, she added such a good spin on the awards this year)

Worst moment: 1) Little Miss Sunshine not winning best picture 2) Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet..*ouch* that was pretty brutal.

In all my years of Oscar watching, that was the worst. Ellen was good (love her), but the rest of the show was so draggy. They didn't announce any major awards for so long.

If I had to pick a favorite moment, it would be when Al Gore was "about to announce his candicacy for president" when the music came on on drowned him out. I knew it had to be too good to be true. Go Al, run Al, run.

worst moment: Al Gore's sorry @ss actually winning something (and you know what? his documentary won the award for best song, too... that's ridiculous)

best moment: reading about all this in the paper this morning istead of actually having to watch it
