dark red is blood that has been in there for a while and therefore it is really old. Bright red is brand new blood

Depends on the levels of iron in your body. Iron makes up hemoglobin and hemoglobin makes red in the red blood cells of blood.

It's best for blood to be bright red.

Dark blood is generally venous this is normal if it is bright red there may be a problem this indicates arterial blood some sites to read

id say blood clots because it seems when its dark there is more coming out in a blob and when its bright red it comes out like water not blobish

old blood versus new...the old will be more brown the new more red...
